I'm in Florida helping my buddy move back up to Minnesota. The fool really needs to get a mental alignment. I left MN at a balmy 1ºC, it's 20ºC right now with just a hint of humidity... God damn he's a fool. =) There's more to move that we had originally anticipated, but we're cutting through it like a hot knife through very dusty butter (my allergies hate me, I never knew that much snot could be produced by the human body). I'm ripe hungry and have been famished since 1:00, that's in the AM. There's nothing like being jet lagged and getting straight to heavy lifting, but boy is my physique chistled!
Thank god for my buddies Worldperks card though, I had left my MD Alsop case with 6 of my favorite discs on the plane! We called at about midnight in hopes of catching it... They sent someone TO THE PLANE and found it! Yay! So we'll be leaving for the airport to pick that stuff up, then hopefully to somewhere where I can gorge myself on an abundance of food. More carbs = more lifting powah!
Saturday morning we hope to be on the road back up to Minnesota, leaving the palm trees and the warm weather in our wake. I do hope that the trip is comfortably uneventful. Though a run in with a very cute girl and an unexpected shag would make this trip priceless. Hell that would make a trip to the QuickieMart priceless....
Until next time....

Audigy. SoundBlaster Audigy. Good sound, annoying software, a few quirks. Why can't I bloody get the SPDI/F optical output to do what I want it to. That being, allowing me to syncro record to my Sony MZ-R909. Atleast it records. Now if only the software was better. It has an ass load of potential, but the features just aren't there. The remote controll is nice, but you have to use the PlayCenter software to utilize many features. Using the remote to just play random audio on your PC can be lame, especially if you have a couple of odd soundfiles (movie clip soundbites and the like) mucking up the destination drive.
Weather, it's been great. 70's, sunny, nice breeze. Tomorrow, 50, cloudy and rainy. Autumn is upon us! I keep getting nostalgic, all hayrides and apple orchard nostalgic. Yeah, pretty sick for a 22 year old male, eh? Any MN ladies out there want to sip hot cider and ride on a wagon with an intelligent and "cute" guy....email me. =)
Until next time.

Just spent two days being more ill than I'd like to have been. Nothing like a good sinus infection to make you want to rush back to work I always say..... Now why is it whenever I have to come back from an illness I have to do something that is in direct conflict with what I should be doing? This time it was moving ~20 PCs over the past two days. Dust plus digging under cubes plus lifting plus everything else that goes along with moving PCs did nothing but aggrivate my wellness. After doing all the moves I've felt more ill than when I got to work. Not good.
One could ask how ill I could have been, to seem so miserable (as if my miserableness hasn't been apparent in previous blogs) due to this sinus infection. My answer, I was so sick I haven't had the will to install my new soundcard "toy". My new "toy" is a SoundBlaster Audigy Platinum, by all rights an excellent toy! But have I wanted to install it? Hell, I couldnt even justify the energy needed to tip the case over. Sick.
There is light on the other side of the tunnel, my buddy Nate and I are getting together for a bit of a movie this afternoon. I haven't seen him in a while - we had a bit of a falling out. We had gotten so sick of each other that we were at each others neck for any little thing. Hopefully the month or so we've barely communicated has done our friendship some good, gave it some needed rest. The guy is pretty cool, but in small portions.
More light for this weekend, sleep and the Liverpool vs. Newcastle game on Sunday. I can't bloody wait for that. Im not British or anything, Im not even an anglophile, I just love soccer. I've come to like Liverpool as a team, they need a bit of polish to be successful this season but they sure do have the talent to make it. Now if they can topple Newcastle, that's punny, they should be able to handle the rest of the EPL. Of course they're short their premier striker, Mike Owens, from a nasty hamstring tear/pull he managed last week at Anfield during the Hotspurs game. Ive found Owens to be the most explosive and fun player to watch in the EPL, and I was saddened after hearing of his ills. Hope to see you on the pitch soon Michael!
Well until next time. krycis, out.

I know restaraunts are there to deliver food and atmosphere. But why the hell can't they get a god damn order right once? Im to many, a very picky eater. I don't do fried food, greasy or oily food, nor do I eat greasy meat (beef). That and I'll try to make a meal as healthy as possible, within reason, if they'll let me (get a plain baked potato instead of french fries et cetera). Now does, "Cajun chicken pasta with angelhair, very very light on the oil. None if they can do that" sound too much to ask? Apparently it is at the T.G.I. Friday's I just ate at. Not only did they screw up my order, but the cooks had screwed it up atleast twice total. I got my dish 5-8 minutes AFTER everyone else received their meals(there were three of us). I was a cook for four years, and it doesn't take that long to cook noodles (probably preportioned and microwaved) and lightly sautee some mushrooms, peppers and onions (lightly as in low oil - as per my request) then mix that with a bit of cooked boneless chicken breast meat. I'd say the operation in a pre-dinner-rush and prep-cooked restaraunt should take no more than 7 minutes. Note: it took them 30+ minutes to bring the first two items: a club sandwich and a hamburger. Pa-fucking-thetic. It will be a long time before I step foot in a Friday's for food. That's for damned sure.

I think I may actually have gotten the hang of this now....
Today is the best and worst day of my life. Again. I think I say that because Im on the fence about so much of the crap we put ourselves through. Namely, work. This isn't a bitch about work line, I just hate what we tolerate for those twice monthly cash filler-ups we call paychecks.
Take my job for instance. I love the actual work and most of the people that I deal with. Now there are one and a half exceptions to that list of people. The person that constitutes the whole number is named Bridget, a rather hefty thorn in my arse. Bridget can make or break my day with a phone call, her whiny voice penetrating my inner soul - not the outter one we allow the world to beat on, the one deep inside that thinly insulates our sanity. Everything she wants done she "needs" on her schedule. As if I sit at my desk, waiting for her to break her Palm Pilot again. By the way, Im a PC tech (not Palm Computer) tech as Bridget would most definately have me labelled. I don't care about her or her bosses schedule (Bridgets boss is a VP, the .5 of the above equation) and I have tried to my wits end to get everything working while painfully making sure that there was no data loss. Personally she should just wipe the whole fucking thing out and start from scratch... It would fix 30% of the problem....the other 70% of the problem is Bridgets snobbish-self important attitude. That I can't apply a software patch to.
Enough on that!
As to why today is the best day of my life is the fact that I got a few problems resolved over the weekend that make me happy. My MiniDisc titling suite made by Mironics was acting up. I found it wasn't really the suite directly, though it was the cause of the problem. I simply had to edit a name out of my recorders name bank and the suite was titling again! Nothing grand, but it makes me happy none-the-less. Also I bought Red Faction for the PC. Damn, what a spectacular game. Anytime you can blow through walls to allow you access to more effective onscreen carnage is alright with me. A small performance enhancing patch would be nice as there seems to be issues with Direct Sound channels bogging down my system, creating framerate dips (very obvious in online play). Another godsend was that my cellphone still works after a full cycle in the laundry with a load of jeans!!! Top that all off with the fact that today is sun-shiny bright outside with the DOW is up over 4% and you have yourself the makings of a grand day!
